This month we honor caregivers who exemplify what Caring People stands for. They are passionate and compassionate about providing care. They are seasoned caregivers with years of experience assisting their clients while promoting their independence as much as possible.
In February we are proud to announce those who were selected for this prestigious award. They will receive a certificate of appreciation as well as a gift card.
Miami Caregiver of the Month for February – Marie Frimmace
Marie Frimmance is Miami’s caregiver of the month. Marie has been a loyal caregiver for Caring People for the past 4 years though she’s been servicing the elderly population for the past 9 years. When Marie isn’t providing exceptional loving care for her clients, she’s caring for her 3 children and spending time with her husband.
When not working, Marie’s is very involved with her church and loves the quality time with her family including her beautiful grandchildren. Congrats on this well-deserved honor.
Bronx/Westchester Caregiver of the Month for February – Beryl Thomas
Ms. Beryl Thomas. Beryl wasn’t chosen for Employee of the Month because she works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. She was selected because the 36 hours a week she does work as a Home Health Aide for Caring People are filled with compassion and dedication to serve. In the nine years Beryl has been a Home Health Aide, she has worked with 17 different clients.
She has a natural ability to form immediate yet long-lasting relationships with clients and their families. Colleagues have been fortunate enough to be present during Beryl’s care to her clients and have experienced the tender loving care she provides. Her work and client’s testimonies leave us all with smiles.
Many of her of clients are in delicate situations, many have advanced stages of dementia, but Beryl is there for them. She travels to Manhattan, Bronx and Westchester County. She is really an example of what every Caring People employee should strive to be.
Her dedication and compassion are revealed time and again when she accepts short notice shifts and remains flexible to whatever changes occur. Beryl just wants to make sure the clients are cared for and continue to do what she believes is her calling, to care for others.
Clifton, NJ Caregiver of the Month – Tonya Owens
Tonya owens was born in Texas. She made her way to Passaic, NJ where she was raised and now lives in Clifton, NJ. She has 6 beautiful children and a fish for each one. Tonya has been with Caring People for 6 years and when she joined the CP team.
Tonya loves taking care of people which is why she’s been in this field for over 14 years. When not caregiving Tonya watches Law and Order and enjoys practicing her technique on the bowling lanes. “Tonya has a very easy and gentle approach which my grandmother responds very well to. She assists the client with maintaining a clean and hygienic living environment. We are so appreciative of all Tonya has done for grandma and my entire family.”
